The Hockey Hall of Fame's Induction 2000 Weekend promises to be an exciting and memorable experience culminating with the induction of hockey's newest legends players Joe Mullen and Denis Savard, and builder Walter Bush Jr., on Monday, November 13th.
Team Canada '72 Day
In honour of Team Canada '72 and their significance in hockey in the 20th century, Friday, November 10, 2000 has been designated Team Canada '72 Day. The 1972 Summit Series is celebrated as one of the most exciting and memorable moments in the history of Canadian sport and culture. Take the day off and go to the Hockey Hall of Fame for the official monument unveiling of the Canadian Press Team Canada '72 Millennium Tribute presented by the Royal Canadian Mint. "Canada's Team of the Century", as selected by Canadian Press, invites you to join us to celebrate the unveiling and to interact with team members throughout the day. The monument unveiling will commence at 12:00 noon outside the Verizon Great Hall on Front Street. That section of the street will be closed to vehicles during the tribute.
